Concrete Finisher

Position: Concrete Finisher Role
Enhance your career as a Concrete Finisher with the City of Victoria. This hands-on position focuses on constructing sidewalks, curbs, and other public infrastructure vital for community life.

As part of the Engineering & Public Works team, you will be responsible for preparing sites, reading and interpreting plans, and executing concrete finishing techniques.

Your role is critical for the timely completion of projects that serve the residents of Victoria. You will also need to operate various construction equipment safely as you contribute to the community's infrastructure needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage concrete work sites accurately

• Read engineering and grade sheets for effective execution

• Place and finish concrete with various methods

• Operate and transport equipment safely

• Work with team members in a collaborative environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or similar qualification

• 2 years' experience in concrete finishing

• Current class 5 B.C. Driver’s licence

• Ability to navigate outdoor construction settings

• Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings
