Description

An exciting opportunity exists at G&E Contracting LP for a Construction Project Coordinator. This is a full-time position based out of G&E’s Langford yard in Victoria, with jobsites throughout the local area. The position reports to the Project Management team.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related discipline
  • Two to three years of experience in hands-on construction or project administration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Job duties include the following:

  • Assisting Project Managers with day-to-day project requirements
  • Managing project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs and submittals
  • Issuing purchase orders and subcontracts as required
  • Creating, updating and maintaining project schedules
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal teams
  • Attending site and project meetings as required
  • Assisting with tendering and bid preparation
  • Tracking project costs, timelines and deliverables
  • Supporting general project administration and reporting
