ABOUT OPUS ART SUPPLIES

At Opus, our mission is to support, grow, and advance the visual arts in our community. We believe that creativity is universal, and our core beliefs are centered on the natural principles to Create, Connect, Grow, and Evolve. We pride ourselves on building lasting relationships with our customers and creating a culture where our team can flourish.

You will begin your journey as a Customer Experience Professional, undergoing our comprehensive 30 to 45 day initial training program to master our operations, systems, and Customer C.A.R.E. best practices.

THE ROLE

Ensure that all customers have a GREAT experience at Opus and support the team in reaching daily sales goals.

We're looking for a positive, resourceful, and customer-focused team player who loves helping people and is excited by the world of art supplies.

The ideal person is naturally curious about customers - you enjoy asking questions, listening to what someone is trying to create, and helping them find the right supplies to bring their ideas to life. You're also a problem solver and troubleshooter, able to think creatively when a customer isn't quite sure what they need or when there's a challenge to figure out.

YOU'LL

BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU ARE
  • Positive and welcoming - you genuinely enjoy connecting with people and creating a great customer experience.
  • Curious - you ask questions and take the time to understand what each customer is looking for.
  • Resourceful - you can think on your feet, troubleshoot challenges, and find solutions when the answer isn't immediately obvious.
  • Self-motivated - you see what needs to be done and take initiative without always being asked.
  • A team player - you communicate well, support your coworkers, and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Excited about art supplies - you're interested in learning about different materials, tools, and techniques, and enjoy sharing that knowledge with customers.
  • A problem solver - you love helping customers figure out which products will work best for their project, experience level, and budget.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

You'll be one of the friendly faces helping customers navigate our selection of art supplies. You'll listen to their ideas, ask thoughtful questions, make recommendations, and help troubleshoot when they're not sure what they need.

You'll also help keep the store organized, learn about new products, share your knowledge with the team, and pitch in wherever needed to create a welcoming and inspiring environment.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who loves helping people and loves learning. You don't need to know everything about art supplies on day one - we're looking for someone who is curious, enthusiastic, willing to learn, and excited to become a resource for our customers.
