Front of House Theatre Supervisor

Lead front-of-house service at Victoria’s Belfry Theatre using calm customer service, volunteer leadership, and emergency procedures. Part-time evening and weekend shifts support performance runs.

Reporting to the Front of House Manager, you will represent the Belfry as the public-facing point person for each show shift. You will work with Stage Management, Box Office, and Volunteer teams to deliver performances smoothly. The work suits someone charismatic, considerate, flexible, and confident handling immediate challenges, customer service issues, and public speaking.

• Ensure audience safety and manage patron incidents or emergencies
• Follow evacuation plans and supervise exits during emergencies
• Lead volunteer teams and support volunteer training
• Oversee concession setup, closing, inventory, and licensing control
• Coordinate with Stage Management and Box Office staff

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Flexible, friendly attitude supporting inclusivity and mutual respect
• Comfort and confidence with public speaking
• Theatre knowledge and love considered important assets
• Similar theatre experience or relevant university training
