CapeBreton Behavior Support Educator

Enhance student learning by providing behavior support at Cape Breton‑Victoria Regional Centre for Education. As a Behavior Support Specialist, you will implement tailored intervention strategies.

In this critical role, you will support students struggling with complex behaviors. A Master’s Degree in Inclusive Education and a minimum of five years in behavior programs are required. Your knowledge in Applied Behavior Analysis and communication skills will drive positive educational experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop behavior management plans tailored to individual needs

• Teach and model appropriate behaviors within the classroom

• Collaborate with educators on behavior support techniques

• Execute evidence-informed behavior supports across the school

• Liaise with families and external agencies for student success

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Inclusive Education or equivalent

• At least 5 years of experience with behavioral interventions

• Completion or initiation of BCBA training

• Demonstrated coaching and collaboration skills

• Awareness of developmental trauma's effect on learning
