The University of Victoria is seeking an Immigration Specialist to bolster its International Centre for Students. This full-time position is pivotal for recruiting and mentoring international students, ensuring they navigate complex immigration matters efficiently. You will offer expert advice, mentor advisers, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure support for students throughout their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on immigration applications for students and families
• Mentor International Student Advisers in effective practices
• Collaborate with on-campus stakeholders for student support
• Assist in understanding immigration responsibilities for students
• Maintain RCIC or RISIA license in good standing
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• RCIC or RISIA certification required
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of Canadian immigration regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
