The
Welding Department
is seeking qualified applications for
casual/on-call
teaching opportunities within
The School of Trades, Industry and Professional Studies
at Camosun College. A successful applicant will have the energy, commitment and motivation required to teach all types and levels of welding and must be available to teach our day shift (8am – 3pm). Diverse industry experience including code work such as shop fabrication, heavy construction and maintenance/repair ( ASME or CSA W59). Experience must include Oxy-Acetylene cutting and welding, SMAW , GMAW , GTAW , plasma cutting and weld fitting.

Knowledge of welding machine and related metal cutting and forming equipment operation is also necessary for this position.

• Certificate of Qualification with Interprovincial Red Seal endorsement
• BC PWP7 and PWP
  10 pressure tickets,
• Computer literacy, including a working knowledge of MS Office products including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
• Teaching experience and a minimum of one year coaching, mentoring, supervisory or other leadership experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

• British Columbia “A” Level welder certificate
• BC Instructors Diploma or equivalent teaching certificate
• BC Class A Pressure Welder Certificate of Qualification
• CSA W178.2 Level 2 or Level 3 Welding Inspector Certification with ASME section VIII /IX endorsement, or a current Welding Examiner Certificate of Competency issued by ABSA
