We’re looking for another passionate teacher. If you love teaching and are passionate about math, chemistry, physics, statistics, English, or any other school subject, this opportunity is for you. If you see teaching as your main long-term goal, this opportunity is for you. If you find yourself in another field, but always coming back to teaching, this opportunity is for you.

We're especially looking for people who are confident in calculus and/or physics. If you know Math 151 at UVic (finite math), that's a major plus.

• Work one-on-one with high school and university students (mostly in-person in Victoria, but occasionally online).
• Adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, strengths, and challenges.
• Build strong relationships with students and their parents through empathy, encouragement, and clear communication.
• Share your enthusiasm for the subject.

You don’t have to be a professional teacher already, but you should be someone who lights up when helping others learn. The right candidate s will:

• Be genuinely passionate about their subject(s) and about teaching.
• Naturally connect with students and make them feel comfortable.
• Show patience, adaptability, and empathy.
• Be reliable, professional, and consistent in scheduling.
• Have some background or experience in tutoring/teaching (preferred but not required).
• Have a strong academic background, especially in STEM subjects (other subjects welcome).

• Competitive pay
  : $27.50/hour, as an independent contractor.

• Based in Victoria, BC, or willing to tutor in-person in Victoria.
• Access to reliable internet and a computer for online sessions.
