Part Time Early Childhood Educator

Camosun College is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator for a part-time position focusing on nurturing care and education for young children. Work hours are from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, totaling 25 hours per week.

In this term position, you will collaborate with the Child Care team, providing essential care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. You'll uphold the B.C. Early Learning Framework and create inclusive learning experiences tailored to each child's developmental needs. This role demands a commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, and engaging environment for children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nurturing early learning play experiences

• Build strong relationships with children and families

• Plan and evaluate inclusive activities for children

• Document observations as per regulatory practices

• Maintain health and safety standards in the center

Requirements:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education with relevant designations

• Valid BC Early Childhood Educator License to Practice

• One year of experience in licensed childcare

• Valid First Aid & CPR certificates

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
