FTE/Point Time - 0.46 Point Time
Please be advised that this posting was vacated under Appendix C of the Staffing LOU. As such, the successful candidate will not be able to vacate this position using Appendix C as each position can only be vacated once as per clause (c): "a position vacated during the school year in accordance with this appendix cannot be vacated subsequently by another teacher in accordance with this appendix.".
Schedule Tuesday/Wednesday - Full day. Thursday 8:40 - 10:12
Qualifications All postings require:
A valid BC Teaching Certificate
Commitment to support the full range of student abilities
Effective communication skills with students, parents and colleagues
Commitment to continuing professional development
Successful experience with adapting and modifying materials for a diversity of learners
Working knowledge of using computing technology to support learning
A commitment to the Principles of Inclusive Schools and Principles of Learning
Specific To This Posting Bachelor of Education (Elementary)
Major in French and near fluency in both written and spoken French
Board approved to teach core French
Two years successful classroom experience teaching core French at the elementary level
Demonstrated use of highly successful instructional strategies for elementary students in an integrated environment
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Ability to adjust curriculum and assessment strategies to meet the needs of a wide range of students
