Inclusion Coordinator Education

Position: Inclusion Coordinator for Education
Be a key player in promoting Inclusive Education as an Inclusion Coordinator. Collaborate with educators and specialists to support diverse learners in achieving their potential.

This position at the School Board Office requires collaboration with School Based Teams, district staff, and provincial agencies to champion best practices in supporting students with exceptional needs. You'll develop individualized education plans, lead workshops, and provide ongoing consultation to teachers, parents, and educational assistants. This position is effective immediately until June 30, 2027, or upon the return of the incumbent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with School Based Teams on inclusive practices

• Develop effective transition structures and plans for exceptional students

• Lead workshops on Inclusive Education topics and strategies

• Assist with individual consultation for educators and parents

• Facilitate team meetings to enhance problem-solving for student inclusion

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Special Education or equivalent

• Five years of successful teaching or support experience

• Experience as an Inclusion Support Teacher

• Background in adult learning and professional development

• Certification in CPI:
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
