On-Call Educational Assistant ’s School

Position: On-Call Educational Assistant at St. Margaret’s School
Support students garet’s School in Victoria, BC as an On-Call Educational Assistant. Engage with learners of diverse backgrounds through personalized educational assistance.

This role involves providing critical support to students with various learning exceptionalities within the classroom. Collaborate with classroom teachers, learning support specialists, and colleagues to adapt curriculums and create an enriching learning atmosphere. You will also participate in school activities and learning support meetings to continually enhance educational strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in curriculum delivery and adaptation

• Support students with learning and personal care needs

• Organize activities that address diversity in classrooms

• Communicate regularly with teachers and staff

• Attend weekly learning support meetings and school events

Requirements:

• Minimum two years post-secondary training in Education Assistance

• Specialization in Special Education is an asset

• 2-3 years experience in co-planning lessons

• Understanding of the BC curriculum

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
