About the Opportunity: The Engineering Department is seeking a motivated individual to fill a full‑time regular Engineering Technologist II position. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the technologist is responsible for supporting the Township by carrying out survey, layout, and inspection services for asset management programs and construction projects through the development of information management strategy, collection methodology, and data entry. This role also provides key technical support to the Public Works and Engineering Departments.

• Conduct survey, layout, and inspection services for asset management programs and construction projects.
• Develop information management strategy, collection methodology, and perform data entry.
• Provide technical support to the Public Works and Engineering Departments.

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Registration or eligibility to register as an Applied Science Technologist (AScT) with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia (ASTTBC).
• Class 5 BC driver’s licence.
• At least two years of progressive experience in a municipal or similar environment.
• Experience in an asset management environment, including tracking of repairs and replacements of assets.
• Ability to collect, review, assess, and interpret data under minimal direction.
• Ability to conduct preliminary cost estimates.
• Knowledge of surveying, mapping, civil engineering design, computerized drafting applications, and geospatial databases.

Salary: $40.11 – $43.28 hourly plus benefits (2026 rates)
