Mechanical Designer BC

We are seeking a self-motivated Mechanical Design Engineer or Design Technologist with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical drafting and design using REVIT and AutoCAD. The successful candidate will be involved in HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection design.

Compensation: Compensation levels will be based on relevant experience, experience level, relevant skills, professional qualifications, role and responsibilities and will be in the range of $60,000 to $90,000 per Annum.

The main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily limited to the following:

• Setup AutoCAD/Revit drawings using company AutoCAD/Revit design and CAD standards.
• HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection drafting as per mark-ups provided by Design Staff.
• Detailed review of work performed prior to submitting completed drafting to Design team and working within company's organizational quality management system.
• Performing various other duties as assigned by the manager.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• University degree, college/technology diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2+ years design and AutoCAD experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience with HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection design.
• Able to read Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical drawings.
• Ability to multi-task and meet project deadlines.
• Revit experience is preferred including 2+ years BIM experience with Revit MEP.
• Ability to model mechanical HVAC and plumbing systems in Revit.
