Senior Marine Structural Designer

Elevate your design skills as a Senior Marine Structural Designer with Babcock in Victoria, BC. Lead innovative projects focusing on submarine structures and CAD applications while collaborating in a multidisciplinary team.

In this permanent role, you'll design solutions for submarine integration and develop comprehensive technical specifications. You will conduct independent assessments, oversee junior designers' outputs, and provide subject-matter expertise to meet project milestones. This position requires a blend of independent design work and collaboration with engineers and stakeholders to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design structural solutions for submarine systems

• Produce technical drawings and specifications

• Conduct technical studies on structural elements

• Mentor junior staff in design processes

• Perform onsite inspections and surveys

Requirements:

• Degree in engineering technology or equivalent

• Eight years of structural drafting experience

• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD tools

• AScT, CET, or PEng registration preferred

• Eligible for Canadian Secret Security Clearance
