Building Envelope Design Engineer

RJC Engineers offers an exciting opportunity for a Building Envelope Design Engineer in Victoria, BC. Engage with clients and project teams to innovate in building envelope design and construction.

This role emphasizes teamwork and creativity, focusing on building science and the delivery of effective solutions for new builds and rehabilitation projects. You will collaborate with clients, conduct thermal calculations, and ensure project feasibility while leading design discussions and site evaluations. Your leadership potential will be cultivated over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with clients on building envelope designs

• Develop and review design reports and specifications

• Conduct thermal bridging calculations for project effectiveness

• Oversee field reviews and constructability assessments

• Lead commissioning tests and discussions with clients

Requirements:

• Civil Engineering degree with Building Science focus

• At least 2 years of relevant experience

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to conceptualize designs and work independently

• Consulting or construction background is beneficial
