Shape Victoria's parks as a Senior Planner in the Parks & Recreation Department. Utilize your urban planning expertise to enhance public spaces and promote community engagement.

The City of Victoria is looking for a Senior Planner to focus on urban forest policy and park initiatives. You will help develop strategic documents and collaborate with various city departments.

Your role will guide policy development in creating resilient and beautiful parks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead development of strategic park planning documents

• Oversee implementation of management plans

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams for planning projects

• Perform technical analysis and prepare comprehensive reports

• Facilitate public engagement processes on park matters

Requirements:

• University degree in Urban Planning or related field

• 6 years of related planning experience

• Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners (preferred)

• Strong organizational and consultation skills

• Ability to read technical information and architectural drawings
