  Some High School required
• Experience:
  
  2 years to less than 3 years

Work Setting:
Hairstyling salon; urban area

• Salary: $21.00 / Hour for 32-40 Hours / Week

• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair
• Cut and trim hair according to client’s instructions or preferences
• Suggest hair style compatible with client’s physical features or determine style from client’s instructions and preferences
• Analyze hair and scalp condition
• Provide custom hair and scalp treatment
• Advise clients on beauty care treatments
• Apply hair extensions
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair
• Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages
• Shave and trim beards and mustaches
• Supervise apprentices/students in training
• Book appointments
• Shampoo customers’ hair
• Perform receptionist duties
• Maintain and order supplies
• Hair Styling Techniques:
  Blow drying, Iron waving/curling, Permanents, Roller setting, Extensions, Hair braiding
• Hair Colouring Techniques:
  Bleach, Dyes/tints, Frosting, Streaking/highlights
