Experienced Caregiver Position At Home Instead - Victoria

Are you an experienced and compassionate caregiver seeking a rewarding opportunity in Sidney? Home Instead is looking for dedicated professionals to join our team and provide exceptional care to our clients.

Position:
Experienced Caregiver

Location: Sidney, BC

Compensation: $20.50 per hour

Double time on statutory holidays once you qualify

Responsibilities

• Personal Care:
  Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Light Housekeeping:
  Maintain a clean and safe environment, including tasks like laundry, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Companionship:
  Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities, providing emotional support.
• Meal Preparation:
  Plan and prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs.
• Outings:
  Accompany clients on errands, appointments, and recreational activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in caregiving with a deep understanding of the needs of seniors.
• Demonstrate empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledgeable in providing personal care and assisting with daily living activities.
• Ability to perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Highly proficient in both verbal and written English.
• Must currently live in Canada with a valid work permit, study permit, permanent residency, or citizenship.
