• Provide attentive, non-medical care according to each client’s Plan of Care
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement
• Support emotional well-being and mental alertness
• Perform light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, cleaning bathrooms, etc.)
• Prepare meals
• Observe and report changes in a client’s physical, emotional, or mental condition
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, and team members
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and ongoing education
• Maintain strict confidentiality and use equipment safely
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• High school diploma (minimum requirement)
• Valid CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to maintain)
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check (renewed annually)
• Ability to pass all required background checks, including criminal, driving (if applicable), and reference checks
• Willingness to participate in random drug and alcohol testing
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with insurance is always a bonus!
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to client care
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• A genuine passion for helping others, with high standards of honesty and integrity

All successful candidates must complete the Comfort Keepers training and orientation program.

• Regular physical activity including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and light lifting (up to 12 kg / 25 lbs)
• Manual dexterity and strength in both hands required
• Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens or infectious diseases

• Competitive starting wage of $19.00/hour
