Registered Nurse Mental Health Esquimalt

Bayshore Medical Personnel is hiring a Mental Health Registered Nurse for a part-time role in Esquimalt, BC. Focus on day shifts only, providing essential support to a diverse patient population without night or weekend commitments.

This contract position offers a chance to engage with clients through mental health services in a primary health care environment. As an MHN, you will assess patient needs, develop and implement effective care plans, and deliver counseling in both individual and group settings. Use techniques like CBT and DVT while managing medications to facilitate optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments

• Create and execute personalized care plans

• Provide individual and group counseling

• Implement crisis intervention techniques

• Oversee medication management for clients

Requirements:

• Certified RN or Registered Psychiatric Nurse in BC

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or psychiatric nursing

• Active license to practice nursing

• BLS certification for healthcare providers

• Experience in mental health settings preferred
