- Education:
Bachelor's degree - Experience:
1 year to less than 2 years Work setting - Community or retail pharmacy Tasks
- Advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage
- Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals
- Check prescriptions for proper dosage
- Maintain medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs
- Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians and other staff Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
- Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities Screening questions
