As a Health Information Management Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant release of information services. Report to the Coordinator, Release of Information, and navigate the complexities of health records while maintaining high standards of patient safety. Regular travel between sites is part of this commitment to health excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage release of information across multiple health facilities
• Collaborate with agencies on health records disclosures
• Uphold legislation like the Freedom of Information Act
• Maintain thorough communication with healthcare partners
• Drive quality improvements in information management
Requirements:
• Graduate from an approved Health Information Management program
• Certification from the Canadian College of Health Information Management
• At least one year of relevant experience or equivalent education
• Comprehensive understanding of health information laws
• Valid BC Driver's License for required travel
Contribute your knowledge and skills to Vancouver Island Health Authority and ensure effective health information management.
