Diabetes Program Dietitian General

Victoria General Hospital is looking for a skilled Dietitian focused on Diabetes Programs to enhance nutrition care for patients. Engage in a dynamic healthcare team and make a difference daily.

In this full-time position, you will provide nutrition care aligned with professional standards to clients living with diabetes. Key skills include conducting nutrition assessments, insulin dose adjustments, and educating clients on dietary management.

Your role will also encompass developing clinical guidelines and supporting interdisciplinary collaboration within the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess nutrition needs and create individualized care plans

• Deliver educational programs for diabetes management

• Collaborate on regional nutrition practice guidelines

• Engage in quality improvement projects and research

• Support and mentor peers and students in diabetes education

Requirements:

• Registration with CDBC and a current Certified Diabetes Educator

• Minimum two years of relevant experience in clinical settings

• Proficient communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to apply critical thinking for effective decision-making

• Experience handling pediatric diabetes care is preferred
