Position Summary

Working within a collaborative pharmacy team, you will support the safe and accurate preparation and distribution of medications to residents across long-term care, retirement, and congregate living communities.

The role offers exposure to specialized areas including geriatrics, palliative care, and mental health, while allowing you to further develop your technical skills in compliance packaging, prescription processing, and final checking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, package, and distribute prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
  • Complete final checks of prescriptions and pharmaceutical products prior to release.
  • Review prescription information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Verify data entry accuracy within Kroll and eMAR systems.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy team members to support safe and timely medication distribution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
  • Previous retail, community, or long-term care pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Kroll, PCC, Catalyst, or other long-term care pharmacy systems is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
