Enhance communication for children with Island Health as a Speech-Language Pathologist in public health. Focus on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and feeding challenges.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work with children under kindergarten eligibility, assessing and addressing their communication delays in community settings. You will prioritize referrals, implement treatment programs, and provide valuable consultation to families and caregivers. This role is integral to supporting client transitions between acute care and community services while ensuring quality and safety protocols are met.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and diagnose communication delays in children
• Develop and implement group treatment programs
• Provide consultation and education to families
• Support transitions from acute care to community services
• Maintain professional standards in client care
Requirements:
• Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Licensure with College of Health and Care Professionals
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Physical ability to perform job duties
Contribute to children's communication development through assessment, treatment programs, and family education within Island Health.
