Lead the management of medical staff contracts at Island Health as a Manager in Primary Care. This pivotal role demands negotiation expertise and leadership to enhance healthcare service delivery.

As a key member of the Medical Affairs Leadership Team, you will report to the Director of Primary Care Support and Resources. This full-time position is integral in aligning strategic initiatives to bolster primary care providers, such as Family Physicians and Nurse Practitioners.

Your role encompasses contract management tasks and compliance with industry standards, safeguarding organizational interests against various complexities in the healthcare landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic initiatives for primary care contracting

• Manage and oversee all aspects of contract negotiations

• Facilitate relationships with external stakeholders and organizations

• Ensure compliance with legislative and industry requirements

• Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives for contract administration

Requirements:

• Master's degree in a relevant field or Business Administration

• Seven years of healthcare experience in complex environments

• Proven leadership and interpersonal communication skills

• Experience in managing complex contractual and regulatory issues

• Valid driver's license for site travel
