Our Financial Services Client is looking for a Data Engineering Team Lead to provide technical leadership and direction for the organization’s data engineering capabilities.
Overview: The role sets engineering standards, designs scalable and secure data architectures, and leads to complex, cross-team data initiatives. While remaining hands-on, you will influence platform strategy, mentor engineers, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, governance, and business priorities.
This is Permanent role, % Remote, Vancouver, BC preferred, open to BC, Ontario candidates.
Must Have:

Using Liquid Clustering and Z-Ordering to maximize read throughput for heavy AI model training.

Building real-time pipelines with Delta Live Tables and Event Hubs to feed live data to inference engines.

Ingesting raw images from ADLS Gen2
, extracting visual features via distributed Spark jobs, and securely managing them using Unity Catalog Volumes
