Position: BC Transit Facilities Maintenance Lead
Take the helm of Facilities Maintenance at BC Transit in Victoria. This leadership role prioritizes sustainable maintenance practices while ensuring reliable public transportation infrastructure.

As the Facilities Maintenance Lead, you’ll report to the Director, overseeing a robust maintenance program within the Victoria Regional Transit System. Your experience in facilities management will enable effective monitoring of maintenance tasks, contractor performance, and budget management. This position directly contributes to BC Transit's mission of safe and sustainable public transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strategies for facilities management and maintenance

• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance operations

• Monitor and evaluate contractor performance consistently

• Manage budgets related to maintenance projects

• Facilitate support for capital renewal and environmental initiatives

Requirements:

• Supervisory experience in a related facilities field

• Knowledge of building maintenance operations

• Proven track record in preventive maintenance

• Ability to organize and lead maintenance staff

• Mechanical competence for building systems
