Casual Housekeeper at West Coast Seniors

Become a valued member of the West Coast Seniors Housing team as a Casual Housekeeper in Selkirk Seniors Village, Victoria, BC. You will maintain cleanliness and sanitation, supporting residents and staff alike.

This position involves routine and rotational cleaning duties, engaging collaboratively with colleagues to foster a respectful work environment. You will report directly to the Support Services Manager while ensuring established cleanliness standards and maintaining a safe, orderly space for all residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, and sweeping

• Change bedding and clean appliances, floors, and windows

• Maintain inventory and safety supplies throughout the building

• Report any resident behavior changes to nursing staff

• Participate in community education programs

Requirements:

• Grade 10 education or equivalent experience

• WHMIS and First Aid certificates

• Clean criminal record compliant with Provincial guidelines

• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs

• Proficient in English communication skills
