Out Of School Care Leader

Lead the successful delivery and continued growth of Braefoot's recreation, sport, and childcare programs. This senior leadership role supports managers, strengthens operations across sites, and works closely with the CEO and Chief Administrative Officer.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Operations Director to oversee the successful delivery and continued growth of Braefoot's recreation, sport, and childcare programs. This senior leadership role ensures programs operate effectively, managers are supported and accountable, standards are maintained, and service and financial goals are met. The role works closely with the CEO and Chief Administrative Officer.

• Oversee day-to-day organizational operations across multiple sites.
• Lead and support managers with clear expectations, guidance, and accountability.
• Maintain operational readiness, staffing levels, and strong program delivery.
• Monitor enrolment, occupancy, staffing, compliance, and customer experience; report monthly to the CAO.
• Identify continuous-improvement and revenue-growth opportunities.
• Maintain regulatory and licensing compliance and act as the primary VIHA licensee contact.
• Help managers resolve staffing, scheduling, and customer-service challenges.
• Provide timely operational reporting to the CAO and CEO.
• Collaborate on planning, growth, staffing, and long-term development.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

A strong people leader who balances big-picture oversight with hands-on problem-solving. You are organized, accountable, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a growing organization. Experience in recreation, childcare/ECE, HR, sport programming, community services, or a similar environment is an asset.

COMPENSATION

$65,000 annually to start, with a performance review after the six-month probationary period.
