Elevate the lives of others as the Assistant Manager for Housing and Support Services at The Salvation Army. Promote dignity and lead a compassionate team dedicated to helping marginalized populations.
In this vital role, you will oversee the Housing and Support Services Department, ensuring that staff and resources effectively meet the needs of those experiencing homelessness and addiction. Your leadership will include supporting the ARC HSS Manager, supervising the HSS Support Workers, and managing training programs for new staff while fostering a welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the ARC HSS Manager in operational areas
• Supervise and train ARC HSS Support Workers
• Maintain safety and enforce policies within the facility
• Assist in staff recruitment and community engagement efforts
• Track and report on shelter and program data
Requirements:
• BA in human and social services or similar field
• 2-5 years of leadership/supervisory experience
• Knowledge of homelessness and addiction issues
• Class 5 Driver’s License required
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
