Profile
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Aircraft Plater to join our manufacturing team in Sidney BC . Your expertise and knowledge will contribute to the growth and success of our organization as we strive to maintain high standards of quality and safety in aircraft manufacturing.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform all heat treat operations on carbon steels, stainless steels and aluminum alloys in accordance with customer specifications;
Comprehensive knowledge of process specifications and ensure Company adherence;
Able to assist in training, directing and supervising Junior Employees;
Perform instrument and equipment and solution checks as required to meet all customer quality standards;
Anodize in accordance with customer specifications;
Passivate in accordance with customer specifications;
Apply Chemical Conversion Coatings in accordance with customer specifications;
Clean and prepare parts for welding operations;
Chemically clean and prepare for painting various parts and materials;
Capable of meeting all DOT, Viking Air and customer quality requirements;
Skills & Experience
Canadian provincial or inter‑provincial plating certification or a completed Kushner electro‑plating know‑how course, or equivalent ticket from another country is considered an asset
Able to safely store and maintain consumable materials;
Able to work safely and efficiently with a minimum of supervision;
