Profile
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Sidney, BC. Your expertise and knowledge will contribute to the growth and success of our organization as we strive to maintain high standards of quality and safety in aircraft manufacturing.
Duties & Responsibilities- Machine aircraft parts and/or tooling and other parts from routine and exotic materials utilizing both conventional and CNC equipment
- Program CNC equipment
- Meet all DOT, Viking Air and customer quality requirements
- Assist in training, directing and supervising Junior Employees
- Work efficiently, safely and with minimum supervision
- Estimate and plan projects on time and on budget
- Carry out in‑process inspections
- Maintain a clean work area and alert the Supervisor of any safety concerns
- Be responsible to the assigned Charge Hand
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Possess an Inter Provincial Machinist Trades Qualification or similar trade equivalency from another recognized national, state, or provincial body
- 4+ years of experience
- Meet all physical duties required of the department
