De Havilland Canada is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join its manufacturing operations. This role involves maintaining equipment, managing waste, and overseeing contractors. Successful candidates will have a relevant technical ticket and experience in manufacturing, emphasizing safety and independence while executing various shop duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain all company equipment and perform building maintenance

• Manage recycling materials and liquid waste effectively

• Direct and contact external contractors as needed

• Plan and implement a preventative maintenance program

• Execute janitorial and shop cleanup tasks when required

Requirements:

• Applicable Canadian or international technical ticket

• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

• Ability to set up and operate shop equipment safely

• Forklift operation and carpentry skills are a plus

• Strong focus on workplace safety and limited supervision
