In this pivotal role, you will focus on clinical care and advocate for First Nations and Métis patients in a high-paced emergency environment. Your work will involve facilitating access to cultural resources and collaborating with various healthcare services, ensuring comprehensive patient care through discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver clinical nursing care in emergency settings
• Provide patient navigation and advocacy for First Nations
• Facilitate access to Elders and traditional healers
• Coordinate discharge planning and community resources
• Offer health education, counseling, and crisis intervention
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
• Registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan
• Minimum 2 years healthcare experience
• Preferred experience with First Nations and Métis populations
• Indigenous language skills are valued
Support First Nations and Métis patients with dedicated nursing care and cultural advocacy at Victoria Hospital.
