Indigenous Nurse Liaison Hospital

Become the Indigenous Nurse Liaison in Victoria Hospital's Emergency Department with the Prince Albert Grand Council. You will provide essential nursing care and culturally sensitive navigation for First Nations and Métis families.

In this pivotal role, you will focus on clinical care and advocate for First Nations and Métis patients in a high-paced emergency environment. Your work will involve facilitating access to cultural resources and collaborating with various healthcare services, ensuring comprehensive patient care through discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver clinical nursing care in emergency settings

• Provide patient navigation and advocacy for First Nations

• Facilitate access to Elders and traditional healers

• Coordinate discharge planning and community resources

• Offer health education, counseling, and crisis intervention

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

• Registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan

• Minimum 2 years healthcare experience

• Preferred experience with First Nations and Métis populations

• Indigenous language skills are valued
