Mental Health Licensed Practical Nurse Position

This role requires the application of practical nursing skills to assess, monitor, and document patients' mental health and addiction issues. You will work collaboratively with patients and the interdisciplinary team, conducting assessments, prescribing treatment plans, and providing crisis management when necessary. Your dedication to the recovery model will help facilitate better outcomes for patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct health care and addiction services to patients
• Monitor and evaluate patient symptoms and progress
• Coordinate care with other health professionals
• Conduct daily assessments and report on patient care needs
• Mentor nursing students and support their development
Requirements:
• Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma and active BCCNP licensure
• Completion of First Aid/CPR course
• Fundamental understanding of mental health and addiction care
• Proven ability to handle challenging patient interactions
• Preferred completion of Non-violent Crisis Intervention course
