Registered Nurse - Critical Care at Royal Jubilee

Elevate your nursing career at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC, as a Registered Nurse in Critical Care Heart Cath/EP Labs. This temporary part-time role demands expertise in invasive cardiac procedures and arrhythmia interpretation.

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will provide comprehensive care in the Heart Catheterization Lab and Electrophysiology Lab. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in Cardiac Critical Care and the ability to assist physicians during invasive procedures.

Your role is pivotal in promoting patient safety and ensuring compliance with nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Render care during cardiac catheterization and radiology procedures

• Monitor patients and assist in administering medications

• Keep accurate nursing documentation for all procedures

• Promote a safe work environment using protective devices

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for effective patient care

Requirements:

• BC RN registration with current status

• Minimum 2 years in Cardiac Critical Care Nursing

• Successful completion of accredited Critical Care Program

• Mark of 75% on the VIHA ECG Challenge exam

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification preferred
