This regular part-time Licensed Practical Nurse position supports long-term care within Vancouver Island Health Authority. Working under a Manager or designate, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess residents, plan care, provide personal care, and perform nursing procedures. The shift runs from 2300 to 0700 with rotating days off.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide care to complex but stable residents
Perform resident assessments and plan care
Provide personal care according to needs
Perform nursing procedures within full scope
Administer medications and operate related equipment
Requirements:
Registration with BCCNM as a practicing LPN registrant
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to organize work and implement care plans
Knowledge of full scope nursing practice
Physical ability to carry out position duties
Apply licensed practical nursing expertise, assessment, and medication competencies to overnight resident care with Island Health.
