Pursue your passion for archaeology with Stantec as a Field Archaeologist. This role enables you to contribute to meaningful projects while working across beautiful locations in British Columbia.
As part of our expanding team, we seek energetic candidates ready to delve into fieldwork and cultural resource management. Collaborate with seasoned professionals and Indigenous communities to develop your skills in data collection, site monitoring, and excavation practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Record and assess archaeological sites and traditional use areas
• Provide technical recommendations with Field Supervisor guidance
• Collaborate and engage with Indigenous representatives
• Participate in field data collection efforts
• Support archaeological excavations and monitoring tasks
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology preferred
• Commitment to safety and cultural resource best practices
• Willingness to gain hands-on experience and learning
• Travel readiness for fieldwork assignments
• Ability to lift and handle equipment up to 50 lbs
