Airport Security Guard

Overview

Become an integral part of a professional airport safety and security team and help passengers and YYJ airport staff with way finding, access control, and other essential security services. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-profile environment where no two days are the same.

We are currently accepting applications for full-time, part-time, and casual/on-call positions, including:

• Patroller
• Shift Supervisor
• RAMP Security
• Security Operations Centre
• Public Engagement and Safety Officer

Wage: $22.15 - $24.87/hour

Training Wage: $19/hour

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside other airport services and be part of a collaborative safety team. As an Airport Security Guard, your main duties include proactively assisting with inquiries, identifying and addressing hazards, obstacles, and traffic concerns, conducting regular patrols of the facility, ensuring only authorized individuals access secure areas, and completing clear, detailed incident reports.

• Can drive a vehicle
• Provide exceptional customer service, with an exceptional smile.
• Have strong communication skills.
• Have prior experience and a valid security license, which are considered an asset. If not, you're in luck! We'll help you acquire your security license!

• Valid Restricted Area Identification Card (Transport security Clearance) is preferred. Airport security guards are subject to thorough background checks and security clearances, in addition to carrying a valid Security License.
• Paladin Security will assist in processing the Transport Security Clearance if needed.
• Good problem solving and decision making skills, including working under pressure.
• Discretion when handling confidential and private information.
• Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time.
• Must be at least 19 years of age and have a high school diploma.

• Minimum High School Education

• Valid BC Security Licence
• Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License
• RAIC
• OFA I
