Position: Security Officer for Island Health Services
Location: Oak Bay

Explore a vital role as a Security Officer with Island Health, providing protection across various health facilities in British Columbia. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the safety of everyone on site.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will uphold security protocols and respond to incidents across multiple hospital locations. Effective communication and the ability to manage situations are key in this role. Candidates must hold a valid B.C. Security Guard License and possess essential training to excel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Protect patients, staff, and visitors at health facilities

• Conduct regular site patrols and incident response

• Communicate clearly with healthcare teams and authorities

• Travel to different Island Health sites as needed

• Improve safety measures and protocols continuously

Requirements:

• Completed Grade 12 and have necessary security certifications

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required

• Certified in Intermediate First Aid (OFA Level
2)

• At least one year of related security experience

• Handcuff endorsement and capability to perform duties
