Health Protection Services Officer

Position: Island Health Protection Services Officer Role
Location: Oak Bay

Serve with dedication as a Protection Services Officer at Island Health, working across various locations in beautiful British Columbia. Your primary focus will be on the safety and security of hospital environments.

In this role, under the guidance of the Team Leader, you will enforce established security policies and respond to incidents efficiently. Your ability to communicate and work effectively with others is vital. A valid B.C. Security Guard License and relevant certifications are required for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement security measures in line with hospital policies

• Respond to emergency situations and incidents effectively

• Travel between multiple Island Health sites

• Maintain clear communication with medical teams

• Focus on improving overall security quality

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 education with security training

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License is mandatory

• Intermediate First Aid certification essential

• One year of recent relevant experience in security

• Handcuff endorsement and physical fitness for duties
