Join Beacon Community Services as a Client Advisor – Job Developer, where you will support WorkBC clients who require individualized and intensive assistance to achieve sustainable employment. In this role, you will work directly with job seekers and employers to identify, create, and customize employment opportunities that align with client strengths and employer needs. Through employer engagement, negotiation, and ongoing workplace support, you will help clients achieve meaningful labour market attachment.

Days/Hours of Work: 4 days a week 8:30am to 4:30 pm (30 hours per week)

What You’ll Do:- Partner with WorkBC Client Advisors to support job seekers who need individualized, intensive employment assistance
- Develop and customize employment opportunities through direct employer engagement, including job carving and task modification
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers to identify sustainable job opportunities
- Provide hands‑on job development support, including job search strategies, resume assistance, and interview preparation
- Negotiate job duties, wages, hours, and workplace accommodations to align client strengths with employer needs
- Coordinate interviews and support successful job matching between clients and employers
- Conduct worksite visits and provide post‑placement follow‑up to support job retention
- Document job development activities, employment outcomes, and supports in ICM
- Post‑secondary education in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) designation
- Two years of experience supporting individuals with multiple barriers to employment
- Experience marketing employment programs to employers
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of local labour market trends and hiring practices
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, including proficiency with ICM
- Client‑centred, trauma‑informed, and strengths‑based approach
- Valid BC Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
