Community Integration Specialist

Join the Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness Society as a Community Integration Specialist in Victoria, BC. This hybrid role focuses on supporting Indigenous individuals facing various challenges.

In this vital position, you will deliver services directly linked to the Culturally Supportive Housing sites and initiatives focused on Indigenous communities. You'll engage with individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges, ensuring their unique needs are met through advocacy and support. Your work will promote cultural wellness and foster positive relationships within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver services at culturally supportive housing sites

• Advocate for clients experiencing homelessness challenges

• Build relationships with community partners and clients

• Document and assess individual client needs

• Participate in community outreach and engagement

Requirements:

• Secondary school graduation with 3 years related experience

• Experience serving Indigenous peoples facing homelessness

• Familiarity with mental health and/or substance use services

• Effective communication and advocacy skills

• Understanding of trauma-informed client service approaches
