The Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness Society seeks an experienced Registered Social Worker devoted to the well-being of Indigenous women, infants, and families. You will engage with Family Members, Elders, and healthcare providers, assisting in comprehensive assessments and advocating for culturally safe services.
Your role is vital in promoting family preservation, stability, and healing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial and housing assessments
• Develop and implement individualized service plans
• Manage cases and provide ongoing advocacy support
• Liaise with child welfare and Indigenous agencies
• Maintain documentation and prepare legal correspondence
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work;
Master’s preferred
• Minimum three years of experience with Indigenous families
• Knowledge of MCFD processes and Indigenous frameworks
• Valid First Aid certification and criminal record check
• Compassionate, culturally competent approach to care
Support Indigenous families with compassion and respect as part of ACEH in Victoria.
