Overnight Housing Support Worker

Join Threshold Housing Society as an Overnight Housing Support Worker in Victoria, BC. Provide vital support for at-risk youth while promoting stability and personal growth in a safe environment.

As a permanent, full-time member of the team, you will act as the primary contact for youth during overnight hours from Sunday to Thursday. This role requires a relevant bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of experience with vulnerable populations. You will utilize a holistic approach to address individual needs related to mental health, life skills, and community support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support youth in crisis management during overnight shifts

• Communicate and assist with their individual goals

• Foster a safe and welcoming environment for residents

• Collaborate with the care team to implement programming

• Keep accurate records of youth interactions and incidents

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Child & Youth Care

• 1-2 years’ experience with at-risk youth

• ASIST and NVCI training preferred

• Emergency First Aid and Food Safe certifications

• Complete a Criminal Record Check for employment
