This crucial role involves working alongside the SAFER team to promote dignity and safety in harm reduction practices. Under the supervision of the Clinic Care Manager, you will build rapport with participants and act as an ambassador for SAFER in the community. Your compassion and commitment will foster connections that enhance the well-being of those you support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage with potential participants and provide program information
• Welcome individuals to the SAFER space and support them
• Distribute safer use supplies and educate clients
• Monitor clients during substance use and respond to incidents
• Facilitate communication between participants and healthcare providers
Requirements:
• Lived experience with drug use challenges
• At least two years in relevant service delivery
• First aid qualifications preferred
• Understanding harm reduction principles
• Ability to maintain professionalism in stressful settings
