Join the Esquimalt Recreation Centre as an Auxiliary Youth Supervisor focused on youth program development and support. This part-time, six-month term offers a chance to impact local youth positively.
In this role, you will assist in hiring and supervising youth staff while coordinating engaging programs and events. You will oversee daily operations, promote safety, and ensure compliance with facility standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong planning and leadership abilities in a flexible work schedule that mirrors community needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Hire, train, and supervise youth staff members
• Lead the development of community youth programs
• Oversee youth camps and teen centre operations
• Create marketing materials for programs and events
• Maintain safety and risk management protocols
Requirements:
• Diploma in Recreation, Child and Youth Care, or similar
• One year of relevant experience preferred
• Direct experience working with youth
• Valid Standard First Aid Certification
• Current Criminal Record Check required
