The Victoria Flying Club is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Person Responsible for Maintenance (PRM) / Person Responsible for Maintenance Control (PRMC) to join our dynamic and fast‑paced aviation environment.
This is a key leadership role responsible for the oversight, coordination, and regulatory compliance of all maintenance activities within the organization. The successful candidate will ensure continued airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and safe, efficient aircraft operations.

Reporting directly to the Accountable Executive, the PRM is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Planning and control of all maintenance activities and maintenance records
- Liaison with Transport Canada
- Liaison with Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMOs)
- Administration and maintenance of the organization’s Quality Assurance Program as Quality Manager
- Development and ongoing maintenance of the Maintenance Control Manual (MCM) and aircraft maintenance schedules
- Review, control, and secure storage of all technical records
- Oversight of Elementary Work and servicing training programs and associated records
- Initial and recurrent training of maintenance personnel and management of training records
- Maintenance process control, including maintenance arrangements and Weight and Balance record retention
- Airworthiness Directive compliance and Service Publication review
- Identification and submission of Service Difficulty Reports (SDRs)
- Coordination of aircraft flight authorizations within the organization
- Removal from service of any aircraft deemed unairworthy or non‑compliant with CARs or company requirements
- Supervision and coordination of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities
- Preparation and upkeep of required regulatory and internal documentation
- Valid M1 AME License (Transport Canada) required
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)
- Experience in maintenance control and technical records management
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced operational environment
- Previous experience in general aviation or flight training operations considered an asset
